AGM

The annual general meeting provides an opportunity to meet and socialise with other members of the Association.  An entertaining and informative talk on a subject related to oral history is presented by an invited speaker, and refreshments are provided free of charge.

The 2018 AGM will be held: 

Sunday 16 September, 2018 @ 12.30 pm – 3.00 pm
Great Southern Room,
State Library of Western Australia,
Alexander library Building, Francis Street, Perth WA

This year the committee will be celebrating its 40th anniversary of its inception. As part of the celebration the committee have organised a special program for the day, which includes:

  • Special celebration lunch
  • Guest speaker Jeff Walker giving a talk on the History of Armadale’s Aquatic Centre
  • Guided tour of the State Library’s reference rooms

A Special General Meeting will be held at 12.30 pm before the AGM. The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to set out proposed minor amendments to the Model Rules pertinent to the Oral History Association of Australia W A Branch Inc. (OHAA WA) Constitution and to ensure compliance with the extra requirements of responsibility, transparency and standards of operation of the new Associations Incorporation Act 2015. The amendments proposed are in line with the new requirements and are recommended by your Management Committee who seek Member approval by special resolution.
